Went to disney princess on ice today…

and Avery had a good time but I think it is geared more towards older children. Besides the fact that she wouldn’t stop talking the entire time, it was a decent show. We really aren’t on the up and up on our disney princesses either. I barely knew who 1/2 of them where, I know, give me a few years, I will know.

Day at the beach

We went to the beach today with Jack, Mackenzie, Cathy, John, Melanie & Frank. It wasn’t the greatest beach day but the kids had a great time. The pictures really make the weather look bad. We were there for about 2-2.5 hrs until it started to rain. Then we headed off to McDonalds for lunch. I am really lucky to have such great friends, that when we are all together, they really help me out with Avery. The dads step in and play with her and watch over her so I can have some good girl time. We won’t talk about how John is taking Cathy away from me But she will be back to visit often, so I am happy about that.

Avery is again taking a very long nap. Yesterday it was 4 hours today she is going on 2.5. I am going to wake her up in a bit, I have to assume its a growth spurt?

And yes, I am trying another blog, I will let you know which one I decide to go with. You are dealing with Meredith here, did you really think I could go with the very first one I looked at? Please…

Its Friday night…

And Avery went to the sitter tonight, I am so thankful I found her. While Avery was at the sitter, I was able to get a pedicure, hit the dollar store for some beach toys and some some things from the grocery story. All without having to make sure Avery was sitting down in the shopping cart, happily fed, not trying to pull things off the shelf, you know the drill. Well anyways, when we came home we watched some nursery rhymes on TV and Avery made a little video for her Daddy, so here you go Jason! We love and miss you!

P.S. – I just got my butt kicked by this blog and posting this video but I have conquered it! Thanks to a lot of internet research and now its 10:58pm and I should be in bed The things you do for love.

Went to my general doctor this AM…

And the minute he walked in, he was fascinated with my belly. He brought 3 different people in to see it. I guess the way Aidan moves is so distinct then other babies??  So, he busted out the doppler and listend to Aidans  heartbeat, then felt around (ok, that sounded weird) and said that he is head down but is not engaged yet. SO, this just means that I need to start my nightly walks again. When I was pregnant with Avery, Jason & I would walk every night the last month.

I have also sent Jason’s email address to those of you who I thought would want it, if I left you out, let me know and I will pass it on.

Spoke to Jason!

I just talked to Jason and he safely made it to Iraq.  He was able to call me through JAX (DSN) so it was a free call.  Hopefully, that can continue. Right now, he is sleeping in an open bay tent on a cot, this will be for the next few weeks until the unit they are replacing leaves.  He is 7 hours ahead of us, so it was 8pm his time, he sounded tired but ok other than that.  He thought he would get computer access in the next few days, so I will keep everyone informed and once I get an email address for him, I will let you know.

Ok, I figured I would try this out. I am going to try and keep the USA & Iraq updated on the happenings of the Maris family through this website. Really, this is so Jason can be updated as to what is happening in our lives here in Florida. He can check the website as often as he would like and I will try and put updates, pictures and videos up for him.
